H&W Training is a progressive Land-Based Training provider and information resource, developed over the last decade, in the South West of Scotland. Our expert services are now utilised Nationwide and more recently internationally with a client base reaching into England and Ireland.
We aim to provide our clients with a direct link to the latest Forestry and Arboricultural techniques with emphasis placed firmly on safe and practical skills.
All instructors at H&W Training have undergone rigorous technical evaluation to become members of the Lantra Professional Register. Annual updates and audits ensure our candidates are receiving the most comprehensive and quality assured training courses on the market.
As well as providing first-rate training H&W instructors are also fully qualified as NPTC Assessors. Certification with NPTC is the Industry minimum requirement for professionals within the Forestry and Arboriculture sector. All Assessors are annually up-dated and re-certificated. Assessors themselves must undergo rigorous training and evaluation to gain their qualification.

At H&W Training we are well known across the country for our chainsaw training courses. We have several chainsaw training courses available which are aimed at anyone from the amateur chainsaw user through to tree surgeons, such training courses include Use Of A Chainsaw from A Rope And Harness, Chainsaw Felling - Medium/Large Trees CS32 and Chainsaw Small Felling CS30/31.
